You don’t need someone to tell you that you’re overthinking. You need someone to help you understand why. You wake up already thinking about everything you need to do that day, and by the time you’re supposed to be relaxing, your thoughts get louder instead of quieter, replaying the day and worrying about tomorrow. You’ve told yourself it’s just stress, just overthinking, just not handling things as well as you should. You’ve told yourself you should be able to handle this on your own, that it’s not bad enough yet, that other people have it worse. None of that has made it stop.
I work with teens and young adults navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, self-doubt, and the kind of major life transitions that make you question everything you thought you had figured out. School, work, relationships, identity, independence, what you actually want from your life. I also support adults managing anxiety, stress, overthinking, and self-esteem concerns using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. What looks like anxiety on the surface is often something underneath it: difficulty managing emotions, fear of uncertainty, perfectionism, or trouble setting boundaries. We’ll name both.
In session, I take the time to actually get to know you before trying to fix anything. I ask questions and listen closely, and I want you to feel comfortable being honest with me, even when you don’t know exactly what you need yet. If you cry, I won’t rush to hand you a tissue and move on. I’ll let you feel it, because you don’t need to apologize for that. One question I come back to often is what you’d say to someone you love if they were going through the exact same thing, because most of us are far kinder to other people than we are to ourselves.
My graduate training is in counselling psychology, with additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, and experience supporting people through a mental health support group shaped how I listen without judgment. I’ve seen how isolating it feels to struggle internally while looking completely fine to everyone around you, and that’s exactly the space I want to change for you.
I currently see clients virtually and in person in Newmarket, Ontario, and I’m accepting new clients now. If you’re ready to stop carrying this on your own, book a free 15-minute consultation to get started.

A Little About Me
Outside of work, I’m usually staying active through strength training, tennis, soccer, or a long walk, or I’m spending time with my family. I bring Portuguese custard tarts, Natas, to almost every event involving food, a small nod to my Portuguese background.
